About Giordano
The Dragoons’ attacking options have received with the signing of Giordano Zambon. Hailing from near the historic city of Venice, Giordano spent his formative years in the youth academies of U.S.D. Fossò and Vigontina San Paolo FC. After the pandemic disrupted competitive play, he moved to Krakow to pursue a degree in International Business at UEK.
Giordano hasn’t let his boots gather dust since arriving in Poland. He has maintained his sharpness by training with Orzeł Myślenice and competing with the AZS UEK futsal team. After impressing during the mid-season trials, he joins the Expats with a hunger to help the team secure promotion.
The Italian describes himself as an agile and mobile attacker who thrives on the flanks. While he possesses a strong physical frame, his game is built on his love for dribbling and his willingness to take defenders on one-on-one. He packs a powerful shot and provides a constant goal threat, but perhaps most importantly for the Dragoons’ system, he is a tireless worker who is always ready to track back and support his teammates defensively.
Zambon made his first appearance for the Expats in their 2-1 victory over SF Fairant in March 2026.
Giordano is a true entrepreneur. When he isn’t studying or on the pitch, he is running his own authentic Italian pizzeria, “ZIO pizza”, in Myślenice. As a die-hard AC Milan fan, his footballing standards are high, but his standards for post-match food are even higher. The squad has been warned: Giordano is officially the team’s harshest critic when it comes to the quality of the post-game pizza!
