Szymon, nicknamed "Gremlin", joined the team ahead of the 2022/23 season, coming from Albertus along with Barry Chowaniec and Marcin Obyrtacz. Szymon is the ultimate utilityman capable of playing at full-back, midfield and has even popped up on the wing. He made a goalscoring debut in the Puchar Polski, where he won Man of the Match for his performance.

The Gremlin
Szymon Urzędowski did not play or train with any formal football club until the age of 20, though he had been playing 6- or 7-a-side games with friends since he was seven. After moving to Kraków, Szymon featured in the Biznesliga alongside Barry Chowaniec, and both joined Albertus in 2020.
Like Barry, Szymon joined the Expats from Albertus at the start of the 2022/23 season, another former opposition player who impressed the Dragoons coaching staff.
Extremely versatile, Szymon has played multiple positions – if you google Kama Sutra there will be a picture of Szymon next to it! A real workhorse, he adds strength and depth to the Dragoons squad.
Despite being a defensive-minded player, Szymon has managed to score six goals in his career. He enjoyed scoring twice on the final day of the 2020/21 season – coincidentally against the Dragoons and added a third against his current side with a penalty in the Dragoons’ 4-2 win away at Albertus. His sixth career goal came on his Dragoons debut in the cup defeat against Rafis, a performance that earned him Man of the Match.

Szymek is a competitive sailor and won the U12 Polish Cup and Polish Championship, whilst also representing Poland at the U15 World Cup and Youth Olympic games qualifiers. Unfortunately, a promising career was cut short under doctor’s orders due to back and knee problems at the age of 14. Szymon later played handball, before turning to football. Whilst Szymon did not make a career of sailing, he is now a sailing and skiing instructor!
