Bore Draw
The Dragoons were forced to settle for a point on the road after a hard-fought 0-0 draw against Potok Więckowice in blustery conditions on Saturday afternoon.
Following the disappointment of the previous weekend’s walkover against JKS Zelków, the Dragoons were eager to bounce back.
Head Coach Hugo Cruz faced a selection headache on matchday, with Danilo Birbiglia and Rob Smits both dropping out of the squad. Lining up in the familiar 4-3-3 formation, Marcin Obyrtacz retained his spot between the posts.

The back four remained unchanged, with Roman Bilovol, Kuba Drobny, Simon Calabrese, and Szymon Urzędowski all starting in defence.
Emre Çolakoğlu dropped deeper into midfield, joining Corneille Malonga and captain Enrico Forabosco in the middle of the park.
In attack, Martin Voženílek returned to the starting XI on the right wing, with Rohit Chandran and Jan Kołodziejski completing the forward line.

Kick Off
A quick start saw both sides go close early on. Kuba Drobny came to the Expats’ rescue to prevent an early goal for the hosts. The defender narrowly diverted a header over his own bar from a wind assisted corner.
Martin Voženílek had the best of the early opportunities for the Dragoons. Great work by Kołodziejski saw the attacker cross to put the ball on a plate for the Czech winger. Unfortunately, Voženílek failed to find the net and hit the chance straight at the keeper from close range.
Facing strong winds and a stubborn opponent, the Dragoons struggled to assert their usual rhythm in the opening half. Silly long balls straight into the wind, saw Potok fail to take advantage.
Just before the end of the half Jan Kołodziejski came close. The attacker went through on goal but saw his effort tipped behind for a corner by the Potok shot-stopper.

Second Half
The second half saw the Dragoons with the wind at their backs, allowing Hugo Cruz’s side to dominate possession and push higher up the pitch.
Szymon Urzędowski had perhaps the clearest chance to break the deadlock. With the ball ping-ponging inside the box, it fell kindly to the utilityman. However, his close-range shot was hit straight at the keeper, who stood firm to save.
Despite the improved performance after the break, the Dragoons lacked the decisive quality in the final third. Potok held firm, and the match ended in a goalless stalemate.
A frustrating day at the office for the Expats, but a point nonetheless.
🏅 MAN OF THE MATCH 🏅

Next Up
The Dragoons return home this weekend to face Iskra Radwanowice. The sides met recently at the start of the winter break with the Expats going ahead through Enrico Forabosco. However, Iskra struck twice before half time to go ahead at the break. The Expats huffed and puffed, finally grabbing a late equaliser through Fernando Gámez.
Since the last meeting, Iskra have gone on to win their last two games and to start the second half of the season unbeaten. Iskra are currently one point behind the Dragoons in 8th place, in what should be a tough game.
