About Marcin
Marcin became the third Dragoons recruit from Albertus following Barry Chowaniec and Szymon Urzędowski in joining the club. Despite conceding seven goals the last time the sides met, the Polish stopper performed admirably. He pulled off a number of excellent saves, as well as denying Scott Halcrow from the penalty spot – the first (and probably only) penalty Scott had taken.
Obyrtacz started his footballing journey in 2002, when he joined LKS Orawa Jabłonka. The keeper spent 7 years with Orawa before taking a break from football.
In 2016, Marcin resumed his playing career joining Klasa B outfit Albertus. He spent 6 years with the side before deciding to try his arm in Klasa A with the Dragoons. He has been a vital piece of the Dragoons puzzle making his debut in the Puchar Polski penalty shootout defeat against Rafis.
#FunFact
Upon joining Albertus in 2016 Marcin played in several different positions, usually as CB or RB. In the second part of the season, Albertus didn’t have a goalkeeper for one match so he had to play in goal. After that match it turned out that he was the best goalkeeper at the club so from then on he has almost always played as GK.
