Janek started his football journey at Pogoń Skotniki (now Pogoń Kraków), one of Poland’s biggest football academies. Known for his blistering speed and love for taking on defenders, Janek thrived as a winger in his youth. However, his promising early career was hampered by four serious injuries, including three ankle sprains and a fracture. Despite these setbacks, Janek’s passion for the game never wavered.
After finishing his time in junior football, Janek sought a fresh start and joined Prądniczna alongside his friend Marcin. Unfortunately, a lack of professionalism at the club drained his enthusiasm, and after just half a season, he decided to take a break from football.
Years later, fate came calling again when Marcin asked if Janek had heard of Dragoons FC. Intrigued by a team made up of players from all over the world, Janek knew right away that this international squad aligned perfectly with his passion for football and love for travel.
Outside of football, Janek is an avid traveller, often hitchhiking across Europe with his trusty skateboard. A true adventurer, Janek prefers the thrill of the road and cheap hostels over luxury apartments, always seeking new experiences and connections with people from different cultures.
#FunFact The furthest Janek has hitchhiked is from Poland all the way to Turkey! On another adventure, he sprained his ankle while skateboarding in Romania, lost his wallet, and had to limp to the embassy with his leg in a cast to get a temporary passport!
