Jake makes history for the Expats as the first-ever player from the United States to don the Dragoons jersey.
His journey between the posts began at just 4 years old, and he never looked back. Growing up in Kentucky, Jake honed his craft across high-level club football, high school competitions, and youth national team setups before progressing to play at the university level in the States.
Following his university career, Jake spent time travelling and working around the world, keeping his gloves warm mostly through pickup games. His path to Poland began in January 2024 when he visited Krakow for a job interview at an international school. Instantly falling in love with the city, he took the role as an English teacher and made Krakow his home.
It wasn’t long before local football came calling again, a mate in a Krakow bar introduced him to the Dragoons, leading Jake to swap pickup sessions for a return to competitive 11-a-side football.
When he isn’t commanding his penalty area or teaching, Jake’s life revolves around two simple passions: travelling the globe and football.
