The Dutch Destroyer
Dutchman Brian has been playing football since the age of 6, starting out his local side S.C. Woezik. After a year, Brian received an approach to be selected by the club, but rejected this to continue playing with friends.
He received a further offer a few years later and Brian decided to take the option up and join the club.
Brian overcome a broken leg (see #FunFact below) to become win the league with his side on several occasions. He later played for the different senior sides for fun with friends.
The Dutchman is equally adept at playing at centre back and in the centre of midfield. Calm in possession, Brian is quick and uses the ball well to start attacks from the back.
He played Biznesliga in Krakow and in the Sunday League for Ti Amo Ti with former Dragoons Ibby Elattar. At the end of the 2018/19 season, Ibby joined the Dragoons and seeing that the club had been selected to play in the official Polish league asked to join the club.
Lemmen scored his first goal for the club on his 2nd appearance in the 5-3 defeat against Fairant. With the game finely balanced at 2-2, the Dutchman came onto a poor clearance from a corner. Lemmen struck an excellent first-time effort from 25 metres into the bottom corner on the stroke of half time.
Brian has been a vital member of the team and famously scored the Dragoon’s equaliser against FC United of Manchester in the Fenix Trophy.
#FunFact
Brian’s #FunFact is not for the faint hearted. So a disclaimer, if you are eating do not read on…
Unfortunately, whilst playing a game in his native Holland, Brian suffered an absolutely horrific leg break. Whilst laying stricken on the floor with his leg in a unnatural position with a mix of jellied shin bone shards (+ broken shin pads) oozing from a wound and with his calf also snapped, Brian in his usual deadpan manner jokingly asked his teammates whether he could continue the game. What a guy!
