Simon’s Ball!
The Italian centre half played his youth football mainly at inter-regional level and undertook trials with clubs at Serie A and Serie B level.
Simon’s passion for computer science saw him prioritise his studies and professional life over continuing with football.
After moving to Kraków, Simon played in the Biznesliga and was a teammate of former Dragoon, Brian Lemmen. The Dutchman told Calabrese about the Expats and he soon trained with the team and was added to the roster.
The Italian scored his first goal shortly afterwards away to Opatkowianka. The defender rose highest to nod home past a stranded goalkeeper and has proven to be a danger in the opposition box from set-pieces.
Simon is an important member of the defence, utilising his pace and putting his body on the line to make important tackles.
