Midfield general Scott Halcrow is the current club captain of the Dragoons. The Englishman is quite the journeyman having played at semi-pro level in England for Peacehaven, Burgess Hill, Southwick and Shoreham in his early days.
Scott later dropped down the levels to join his friends in representing The View FC.
The midfielder has a proud record of winning a trophy at every side he has played for and hopes to do the same with the Dragoons!
Halcrow found the club on social media and was invited to come to training. He soon signed on and has become a vital member of the squad.
He made his debut for the Dragoons against Kaszowianka Kaszów and has been in around the matchday squad since. Scott notched his first goal for the club against Universum in a 6-0 victory in the 19/20 season. After making a lung busting run to get into the box, he found himself in the right place at the right time to poke a rebounded shot into the net from a whole yard out. They all count!
Scott is the ultimate utility man and has been utilised at centre back when required. You always know when Scott is on the pitch, with his high-pitched squawking of “Sedzio” at every referee’s decision! He is a leader on and off the pitch and famed for his legendary drinking games causing havoc on the annual Warsaw trips.
Scott says his favourite Dragoons moment is being recognised and entrusted by the coaching staff to captain the side.
A devout Arsenal FC fan, Scott idolised Ian Wright, Dennis Bergkamp and Theirry Henry growing up. Being a Sussex boy, Halcrow also idolised Brighton legend Bobby Zamora, who scored for fun with Seagulls.
