Piotr or Pedro as he likes to be called started playing football with his local side Górnik Wojkowice.
He stopped playing football at the age of 14 to pursue his interest in other sports, such as snowboarding, gymnastics, kiteboarding and crossfit. The man of a million muscles, Pedro worked as a strength and conditioning/crossfit coach in affiliation with CrossFit gyms.
For those who have a close eye, you may notice the name Pedro Viernes in the corner of Dragoons related photographs on the website and social media. This is because he is the official club photographer!
Pedro’s Dragoons story started more unconventionally than a lot of players. He was originally asked to make a short film about the Dragoons. Whilst filming, Pedro loved the vibe between the team members and it made him realise how much he missed the beautiful game.
Shortly after sending Alex Băcica the finished product, he requested the possibility to trial with the team and the rest is history!
He made his debut, coming off of the bench in the 4-3 defeat against Albertus in the 20/21 season. Despite being on the losing side, Pedro rolled back the years to create a goal for Adrian Palis’ hat-trick goal.
As a player/photographer, Pedro is in attendance most games, so picking a favourite memory can be difficult. But one such moment that sticks out is Cedrick Mwamba’s first goal against Bieżanowianka. Pedro also commented that he enjoyed the jolly boys outing to Warsaw too!
Away from the Dragoons, Pedro is a fan of Barcelona and Ajax. His favourite players of all time are Patrick Kluivert, Carles Puyol and Lionel Messi!
