The Galloping Turk
Emre mainly played football at an amateur level with friends and also played Biznesliga in Kraków.
A friend of former left back Marcelo Martins, he came along for a trial match and impressed in an advanced forward role. Emre has been with the club since its infancy and came off of the bench to make his debut against Fairant in the first ever competitive game in the Puchar Polski.
The Turkish national has played in midfield and latterly impressing in an attacking role. Good with the ball at his feet, Emre is able to hold the ball up well and has the ability to spot a pass.
Emre’s first goal came in the Dragoons 6-4 home victory over Opatkowianka and typified his style of play. He showed great feet to beat two players before entering the box and slamming a shot past the keeper.
His favourite Dragoons moment is the 5-1 home victory against Victoria in the 21/22 season. Emre playing in a striking role found the net twice to cap off an impressive display against a tough opponent. Bezirkan says he enjoys playing with Rob Smits, believing their playing styles complement each other.
Outside of football, Emre said he enjoys making fun of Mark Szczesnowicz and the size of his gut following the summer break.
Emre is a big fan of Trabzonspor and enjoys watching Liverpool too. His favourite players are Andreas Cornelius and Alexander Sorloth, who have both lead the line for Trabzonspor.
