Goalkeepers are usually as nutty as squirrel poo; however, Jacob breaks that mould being relatively normal!
Biddlecombe has been playing football in goal since childhood. Whilst playing football locally for Churchdown Panthers in Gloucester, he attracted the attention of English football league side, Cheltenham Town. Biddlecombe played for the Robins’ academy side until the age of 15 and also represented the county of Gloucestershire at schoolboy level.
Another youngster, after moving to Kraków in 2015, Biddlecombe tried his arm outfield for the Dragoons in the Sunday league and also played regularly in the Biznesliga.
Biddlecombe excelled playing as a full-back for the Dragoons before taking a brief hiatus from the game.
Jake decided to return to football recently, going back to his roots as keeper. He trained with the club briefly and joined at the start of the 21/22 season.
Quick with his feet, Jake is a good communicator at the back and quick off of his line if required. Due to paperwork issues, he had to wait until after the winter break before making his competitive debut.
Jacob finally took to the field against Bronowicki in March 2022, keeping a clean sheet – a favourite moment for the Englishman.
A keen fan of West Ham United, Rob Green and Italy legend Gianluigi Buffon are Jake’s goalkeeping heroes. On pitch however, he is a big fan of former Hammer Dmitri Payet and England midfielder Declan Rice.
