Nominees

This month we bring you four nominees to choose from:

Szymon Urzędowski 🇵🇱

The Polish utility man has been a revelation this season, proving his versatility on the pitch. Whether deployed in defence or midfield, Urzędowski’s consistent performances have made him an indispensable asset. The midfielder earned his place in the line-up and put on a man of the match winning performance against JKS Zelków. Szymek created the assist for Barry Chowaniec’s goal and worked hard for the team.

He made 3 starts in September, with one appearance from off the substitutes bench.

Since joining the club ahead of the 2022/23 season, the Pole has made 61 appearances, scoring twice with four assists.

Rob Smits 🇳🇱

The Dutchmeester has been on fire for the team when has been available this season, helping to dictate the tempo of play. Smits’ exceptional energy and vision have allowed the team to facilitate fluid transitions and create goal-scoring opportunities. His calm demeanour under pressure, ability to press opponents and his exploits in front of goal have made him a key figure in the team’s recent form.

The midfield metronome earned himself the man of the match with a stunning performance against Potok Więckowice. Smits bagged a hat-trick and created a goal for Kuba Drobny to complete a sensational individual display.

The Dutchman made just two appearances in September, but has represented the side 55 times, scoring 19 and assisting 17 goals.

Fernando Gámez 🇪🇸

The recently signed Canarian King has quickly made his mark since joining the squad. Gámez’s flair and creativity have injected new life into the attacking line. His ability has been obvious so far, with the Spanish Sensation earning praise from coaches and team-mates alike.

Gámez made his long-awaited debut against Płomień Jerzmanowice and wasted no time in showcasing his creative talent to assist Yuri Samyonov with the first goal of the game. The Spaniard completed a man of the match performance, by reacting quickest to score on his maiden bow after Enrico Forabosco’s missed pen.

Marcin Obyrtacz 🇵🇱

The Polish goalkeeper had to be patient in obtaining the number one jersey after Gabriel Muñoz’s fine form. However, Obyrtacz’s sharp reflexes when called upon have been key in securing vital points for the team. Ably assisted by some fine defending, Marcin’s ability to make game-saving stops has been instrumental in maintaining the Dragoons good form.

Obyrtacz won the man of the match plaudits in the 1-1 draw against Błękitni II Modlnica. Despite finding themselves on the backfoot in the early stages, the stopper made some key saves to ensure the Expats kept level.

Altogether, Marcin played twice in September and has worn the Dragoons jersey on 46 occasions in total.
