End of Season Trip to Warsaw
The Dragoons took to their travels following the end of the 2020/2021 season for the 4th annual trip to Warsaw.
Following a long, hard season, the trip gave the squad the opportunity to have some fun.
Battle of the Expats: Foreigntina vs Dragoons
The weekend involved football with the Dragoons facing off against FC Foreigntina in a battle of the Expats.
The Dragoons proved to be far too strong for their opponent and took an early lead. Michał Nowak burst through on goal and unselfishly squared to Andrea Latino to tap in for the opener.
Yuri Samyonov hassled the Foreigntina defence throughout the half and grabbed two goals. The pick of his goals saw the winger score a curling effort from the edge of the box.
With a three goal cushion at half-time, stand in coach Kuba Drobny made wholesale changes at the break.
One of those changes saw club chairman Alex Băcica don the blue jersey and take to the field.
Băcica perhaps produced the most entertaining moment of a dour second half as the Dragoons won a free-kick within shooting range. The raucous Dragoons crowd chanted for their leader to take the set-piece and held their breath as Băcica stood over the ball.
A great curling effort caused the Foreigntina keeper to scramble across his goal, but sadly for all involved the ball sailed just wide.
Warsaw Boat Party
Following the game, the Dragoons squad had fun on the Vistula joining our sponsors Warsaw Boat Party.
A good night was had by all, especially a select few who will not be named!
The Sunday saw a lot of sore heads as the team enjoyed a successful weekend and made their way back home to Krakow.
