About Gareth

A native of Cornwall, Gareth Davis is a keen sportsman who has played cricket to county standard in the UK. These days, when he’s not supporting the Dragoons, you can usually find him on the golf course.

Gareth played a key role in bringing the Dragoons together. Shortly after arriving in Krakow in September 2015, he posted on a local Expat Facebook group to find people for a game of football. Both Ashvin Asani and Alex Băcica responded, with Dave Burch also getting involved to help organise a kick-about at J&J Sports Centre in Skotniki. This led to the first friendly 7 a side game with Sterling Outsourcing’s Biznesliga team including Daniel Finnegan, who would go on to become a club stalwart. This meeting marked the start of the group that would eventually show incredible growth and become the Dragoons.

Over time, Gareth became a familiar face at matches and, when the club needed leadership after Finnegan’s departure as interim president, he stepped in. Gareth helped bring focus and direction to the club, relieving pressure from Hugo Cruz, Kuba Drobny, and Dave Burch, while adding his own calm and thoughtful voice to guide the Dragoons forward.
