Recap
Déjà Bleak
After last weekend’s horror show against Radziszowianka II, Head Coach Gonçalo Ferreira made sweeping changes for the trip to Trzebol Wielkie Drogi. Determined to spark a reaction, he demanded energy, discipline, and pride from his players after one of the poorest performances of his tenure. Unfortunately, he got none of that…

Gabi Muñoz remained in goal, while Szymon Urzędowski was the only defender to keep his place at left back. Francesco Leuci returned on the right, with Kuba Drobny and Simon Calabrese restored at centre-back. Roman Bilovol and Michael Syska-Lamb dropped to the bench, and Gracjan Bałuch missed out entirely.

In midfield, Brian Lemmen started alongside Corneille Malonga and Jan Krzyżanowski as Stiven Campo dropped to the bench. Up front, Vałdzis Fuhaš led the line in the place of Obed Sánchez, while Jan Kołodziejski and Serhii Yelysieiev provided the width.
Kick Off
Straight from kick-off, the game followed an all-too-familiar pattern to that of last week. Trzebol went straight on the offensive, and seized every second ball. Before long, the Expats were forced back deep into their own half and struggling to find rhythm.
Trzebol Deservedly Lead
On 21 minutes, the Trzebol pressure paid off as the hosts went ahead. A panicked clearance from the Dragoons own throw-in gifted possession back to the home side. Piotr Fuss took advantage of the loose ball and hit a speculative effort from range that left Muñoz with absolutely no chance as it soared into the top corner. An unbelievable hit that punished the Dragoons’ lethargic start.
From then on, the home side dictated play. The Dragoons sat deep and failed to link midfield to attack. Moreover, they continually lost possession under pressure and rarely cleared their lines with conviction. Muñoz was becoming the Dragoons’ busiest man on the pitch, punching a corner against his own post in the 29th minute.

Six minutes later, Muñoz came into action once again, forced to punch an incoming chance away. Again the Expats failed to clear their lines and a second effort from the hosts cleared the bar.
Five minutes before the break, Trzebol came close to extending their lead as a cross found an opponent inside the box. Thankfully, the forward learned back and smashed over the bar, much to the Dragoons relief.
A quite awful first half ended with the hosts in complete control. The Expats did not register a single shot in the opening 45 minutes and needed to do more to get something from the game.

Second Half
After the break, the hosts came out flying looking to put the game out of the Dragoons’ reach. An early corner found a Trzebol head completely unmarked inside the box. On this occasion, the ball went marginally wide as the Expats’ goal survived for now…
Dragoons Fall Further Behind
The hosts continued to rain shots on the Dragoons goal, and it was just a matter of time before the second came. In the 53rd minute, Trzebol finally doubled their lead with terrible defending by the whole team yet again costing the Expats. A long-throw dropped inside the box that the Expats failed to clear. Fuss found time and space to swivel and whacked an absolute rocket that left Muñoz clutching at thin air as the ball hit the top corner of the net. A second finish of high quality by the Trzebol man, but the Dragoons gift-wrapped the opportunity.
Ferreira had seen enough and Obed Sánchez, Barry Chowaniec, and Yuri Samyonov entered to inject life into the team.

Trzebol Grab a Third
However, the pattern barely changed as the hosts snatched a third on the hour mark. Mateusz Białek decided to go direct for goal from a free-kick some distance from goal. The ball sailed through a quite terrible defensive wall, taking a slight deflection and it arrowed past the dive of Muñoz for 3–0.
An Immediate Fourth
Just a minute later, a long ball forward saw Drobny make an interception, knocking the ball towards Lemmen. The Dutchman headed the ball back, however, inadvertently sent the quicksilver Sunday Mba sprinting towards the Dragoons goal. Calabrese attempted to hold up the dangerman’s run, but back peddled and allowed the forward to cut onto his right foot and curl a shot of high quality into the net via the post. Another great finish, but the Dragoons had made it all too easy for the hosts.

Finally Something to Cheer
The Dragoons briefly lifted spirits straight from kick-off. Kuba Drobny sent a long pass forward to find Sánchez. The Colombian raced beyond the defence and lifted the ball neatly over the stranded keeper to grab a goal back.
Too Little Too Late 😪
Kuba Drobny 🇵🇱 picked out Obed Sánchez 🇨🇴 with a perfect lofted pass, and the Colombian finished coolly to grab a consolation for the Dragoons.🎯
Not much to cheer about on the day, but a well-worked goal nonetheless. 👊#COYD💙🖤 pic.twitter.com/KNQSGtWIe7

Following the goal, a plethora of subs saw the game slow down. The Expats huffed and puffed with Malonga coming close to getting the Dragoons a second goal. The Congolese midfielder let fly from range, only to see a fingertip save turn the ball around the post.

Trzebol still remained dangerous and more poor defending called Muñoz into action again in the 80th minute. The Chilean stopper showed a strong wrist to deny a fierce drive at goal. However, the Expats failed to clear the ball and allowed a second shot which rolled harmlessly into Muñoz’s grasp.
Roll Up, Roll Up
On 82 minutes, it looked like the circus arrived in Wielki Drogi. The Dragoons defended like clowns, allowing a looping cross to land for Mba at the far post. The attacker showed acrobatics with a bicycle kick, only to find Muñoz with better flexibility, flying to his left to deny Mba a second goal and Trzebol a fifth.
Stiven Campo and Michael Syska-Lamb entered shortly after as the Expats went three at the back with Kuba Drobny going up-front!
Penalty Dragoons
As the game rolled into the 90th minute, Roman Bilovol’s cross struck a hand in the box. The referee pointed to the spot and the makeshift centre forward Drobny grabbed the ball to take the penalty. The defender stepped up confidently, but failed to trouble the target ballooning the ball over the bar. A miserable afternoon completed and a second spot-kick missed in consecutive games.

When the final whistle blew, the Expats were left with a second successive 4–1 defeat and plenty of soul-searching to do. Without key midfielders Enrico Forabosco and Fernando Gámez, their lack of control, creativity and leadership became painfully clear.
Ultimately, the Dragoons were second best in every department. Too slow, disjointed all over the park and lacking any sort of competitive edge. Even in the warm-up the Expats showed zero intensity and it rolled over into the game. On grass, they still struggle to impose any sort of style of play, and their mindset appears fragile and lacking belief from the first kick. Nevertheless, Ferreira’s men must now regroup, rediscover their spark, and fight for every ball if they hope to climb the table again.
🇨🇱 🎖 MAN OF THE MATCH 🎖 🇨🇱
Despite conceding four times, Gabi Muñoz 🇨🇱 otherwise proved to be a hero for the Dragoons.
The Chilean shot-stopper pulled off a string of excellent saves, keeping the score from getting further out of hand.
👏 Well played, Gabi! 💪🧤🔥#COYD💙🖤 pic.twitter.com/1zOP4i2219

Next Up
The Dragoons have slipped to eighth, losing further ground on the leaders. They now need a result against 13th-placed Dąbski Kraków to avoid looking over their shoulders at the relegation-threatened pack.
Like the Dragoons, Dąbski are winless in their last two outings and find themselves second bottom. This season, the visitors have recorded just one victory, two draws, and five defeats, scoring 12 goals while conceding 19.
The two sides have met twice before, in 2022 and 2023, with Dąbski coming out on top on both occasions! A big performance is needed for the Dragoons to grab a vital three points.
