Gonçalo Ferreira Appointed Dragoons Head Coach
Krakow Dragoons FC proudly welcome Gonçalo Ferreira as the club’s new Head Coach ahead of the 2025/26 season.
Gonçalo steps in following the departure of Hugo Cruz. He brings clear footballing ideas, strong tactical foundations, and a deep commitment to player development. These qualities fit perfectly with the direction the Dragoons are heading.

A Global Perspective
Gonçalo grew up between Switzerland and Portugal, and later spent time in Denmark before settling in Poland. These experiences gave him a broad cultural outlook and the ability to adapt quickly. As a result, he connects naturally with players from different backgrounds – an ideal fit for our diverse squad.
Coaching Philosophy
Gonçalo follows a democratic, player-focused approach. He believes in open communication and building trust with every member of the team. By encouraging shared decision-making, he creates an atmosphere where players feel empowered and accountable.
Importantly, he aims to develop not only better footballers but better teammates. His leadership fosters unity, resilience, and self-belief.

Playing Style
Ferreira favours a possession-based, flexible system. His teams build from the back, rotate positions fluidly, and press aggressively when the moment is right.
This style demands intelligence and adaptability. It also promotes a collective mindset that players must work together both in and out of possession.
