The Dragoons were on the receiving end of a mauling this past Sunday against FC United of Manchester, but one positive from the game was the record breaking appearance of Jan Krzyzanowski, who became the Expats’ youngest ever player in official matches!

We caught up with Jan to discuss his debut, his playing style and hopes for the rest of the season.

My debut for the Dragoons was an incredible feeling. The atmosphere was amazing and being able to play a game like that was amazing too. Being alongside my teammates made the whole experience great. Everyone was very supportive of me which made my debut a lot better”.

Reflecting on the game Jan commented “of course the game didn’t go our way but playing against a team at a higher level teaches us as a team what we need to do to improve for future games”.

When asked about his style of play, Jan had this to say “I am a player that plays with a lot of passion, I never stop running and everything I do on the pitch is to help my team and my teammates. On the field my teammates are my number 1 priority and I try to do everything I can do to help them”.

On his hopes for the rest of the season Jan mentioned “for the rest of the season my hope is that we come together as a team and show everyone we are capable of getting that top 4 spot in A Klasa. It will take a lot of hard work but I know we are capable of doing this”.
