About Scott
Midfield general Scott Halcrow is one of the Krakow Dragoons’ former club captains and now serves on the coaching staff as Assistant Coach to Gonçalo Ferreira. The Englishman is a true journeyman, having played at semi-professional level in England for Peacehaven, Burgess Hill, Southwick, and Shoreham before later dropping down the leagues to join friends at The View FC.
Known for his competitive edge, Scott boasts a proud record of winning a trophy at every side he has represented and carries that same ambition into his time with the Dragoons. He discovered the club through social media, came down to training, and quickly became an integral part of the squad.
Scott made his Dragoons debut against Kaszowianka Kaszów and opened his goalscoring account in the 2019/20 season with a scrappy but memorable finish against Universum in a 6–0 victory. After a lung-busting run into the box, he poked home a rebound from a yard out, proving that they all count!
A true utility man, Scott has been deployed across midfield and defence, including stints at centre back when called upon. His leadership was unmistakable both on and off the pitch, often heralded by his trademark cry of “Sędzio!” at referees’ decisions! He is equally influential off it as a team character, especially on the infamous Warsaw trips…
After captaining the Dragoons to promotion, Scott retired from playing and transitioned into coaching. He worked under Ashvin Asani and Hugo Cruz before taking up his current role alongside Ferreira in 2025.
A lifelong Arsenal supporter, Scott grew up idolising legends such as Ian Wright, Dennis Bergkamp, and Thierry Henry, while closer to home he admired Brighton hero Bobby Zamora. His favourite Dragoons moment remains the pride of being entrusted by the coaching staff with the captain’s armband, a recognition of his influence, leadership, and dedication to the club.
